Ray County is located in West Central Missouri. It is named for John Ray, an early Missouri politician.
The seat and largest city are both Richmond. The county is located in the Kansas City Metro Area.
It borders Caldwell, Carroll, Lafayette, Jackson, Clay and Clinton Counties
Main highways include MO-10, MO-13 and MO-210.
